# Directions:

01 - In a large bowl, beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
02 - Incorporate the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
03 - Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
04 - Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just blended.
05 - Divide dough into two portions, form each into a disk, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
06 - Set oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
